Bombay College of Pharmacy (BCP) is a pioneering institution in Pharmaceutical education in India. BCP was founded in 1957 by the Indian Pharmaceutical Association - Maharashtra State Branch (IPA-MSB) with financial assistance from the Government of Maharashtra and several pharmaceutical corporations. Since its inception as a college offering a Diploma in Pharmacy, the college has grown in stature and at present offers Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral programs of study in Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Mission
Mission of the Bombay College of Pharmacy is to educate and train students in the knowledge of Pharmaceutical Sciences and to contribute to improvement of health of the society through educational and research programmes.
BCP is located close to the University of Mumbai, Kalina Campus. It is about 5 and 12 km from the domestic and international airports respectively. It is about 2.5 km from both Kurla and Santacruz railway stations and is easily reached by public transport from the central, western and Navi Mumbai suburbs.
BCP has produced more than 1500 Pharmacists and 300 M. Pharm and 170 PhD graduates. Many of the BCP alumni now hold prominent positions in industry and academia both in India and abroad. Several faculty members have received teaching and research awards from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), University Grants Commission (UGC), the Council of Scientific and Industrial research (CSIR), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the corporate sector. BCP has well equipped laboratories, the Dr. M. K. Rangnekar drug testing and training laboratory, state of the art equipment, instruments, internet facilities and an excellent library. BCP encourages and undertakes collaborative projects with industries and academia. More than 300 industry sponsored projects have been completed. In fact, recently (2014) BCP has been recognized as Best Industry Linked Institute in Pharmacy field by AICTE-IIC cell.

Admission
The admissions for all the three courses at Bombay College of pharmacy are done on merit basis.
B. Pharm Admission
Admission to the undergraduate course is conducted by Department of Technical education. For eligibility and other details kindly visit to http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in Only fourth round of the admission which is each individual college’s round is conducted here. Again a strict merit basis allotment of seats is done. Similarly a direct admission to second year degree course after D. Pharm. is also conducted through DTE. The fees for the course are in compliance with the Shikshan Shulk committee. FEE STRUCTURE
NOTE: Late payment of fees invites additional charge of interest @ 10% per anum and a fine of Rs 100/- per day.

M. Pharm Admission

Admission to the postgraduate course is also conducted by Department of Technical education. The students has to be a B.Pharm graduate, should be GPAT or CET exam qualified. For further eligibility and other details kindly visit tohttp://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in

Only fourth round of the admission which is each individual college’s round is conducted here. Again a strict merit basis allotment of seats is done. The fees for post graduate course are governed by the managing body.



Ph D. (Tech) Admission

The admission to the Ph.D course is governed by University of Mumbai. Since there is limited number of seats and there is no fixed schedule for students passing out, the admissions are on the basis of vacancy. Please read the terms and conditions before applying. Admission to Ph. D course in a technical faculty like pharmacy does not require NET if the candidate is GATE/GPAT qualified. In the other case student has to appear for Ph.D Entrance test (PET) conducted by University of Mumbai. This would be followed by an interview before final display of merit list and allotment of seats. Please mind well each department and faculty member may also have limited number of seats. This is followed by topic approval and registration (eligibility and migration if required, click here to download form), which generally takes 3-6 months subject to meeting of Board of studies of Pharmacy at University of Mumbai. After the entire allotment procedure is over student have to fill the FORM and submit a hard copy with recent photograph pasted.
